## What it is

The Index scores each company on where AI is likely to create value, destroy value, and force transformation. It is one consistent lens across the market: how exposed the business model is — the work it sells, the labor it prices, the software it runs on — and how much of that exposure is already priced in.

## Why we built it

It comes out of our past year working with investors, operators, and technologists across private equity. The same questions surfaced in every conversation, and nobody had a systematic way to answer them:

- Which businesses are under the most pressure to transform?
- Where are the safe havens?
- Which businesses look more attractive through an AI lens?
- Which parts of the market are priced correctly — and where could opportunity lie?

The Index is our answer: evidence instead of instinct, refreshed as the work continues. Every engagement teaches it something new about how AI actually lands inside a business.
